On Friday 22 November 2019, Hellyer College is running their official Orientation Day for students attending Year 11 there in 2020.

All Penguin District School students who have pre-enrolled at Hellyer College will be attending and participating in engaging and interesting activities in the subjects that they have preselected for next year.

Please Note: Students not attending Hellyer College in 2018 are required to attend Penguin District School on this date.

 The format of the day is as follows:

Who: Year 10 students attending Hellyer in 2020

What: Orientation Day Program

Why: To support students with their transitioning to grade 11 in 2020

Where: Hellyer College, Burnie

When: Friday 22 November 2019.

How: Students need to arrive at the Penguin District School bus bay prior to 8:30 am.

Attendance is marked and students then board the bus for Hellyer College with Mr King and Mr Maywald – departing promptly at 8:35 am. Students who are not on the bus at this time will have to make their own way to the college.

Dress for the day is neat casual clothing.

All students will then assemble in the Café area at Hellyer College at 9:00 am.

A free bbq lunch will be supplied and the college canteen will be open at recess and lunch. Students are also welcome to take their own lunch should they wish to.

Students have attendance taken again at 2:20 pm and board the bus to return to Penguin District School, arriving back in time to catch normal buses home.

If your son/daughter is planning to make their own way to and/or from Hellyer on this date, please complete the following form - to allow appropriate booking arrangements for bus sizes to be made in advance.
