Location: Year 7 Area - Secondary Campus
In Term 3, 2019 Year 6 students will be part of the Secondary Campus Awareness Program (SCAP). This will involve six visits to the secondary campus to participate in a variety of classes with Grade 7 teachers.
Students will attend the secondary campus for block 1 on the following Thursday’s: (8.50am-10.35am)
- August 15
- August 22
- August 29
- September 5
- September 12
- September 19
They will participate in one lesson of each of the following subjects:
- MDT
- ICT
- Music
- Drama
- Foods
- Science
Students will be placed into three classes for the sessions. On these days they will need to bring their pencil case/pen and a notepad or exercise book to write in.
PDS students will walk up from the primary campus, with a Grade 6 teacher, and return at recess. RPS students can either make their own way to school or catch the Riana school bus in the morning and we will then transport them back to Riana at recess time using our school bus.
The school will be open for students from 8:20am onwards. Grade 6 students can move straight to the Grade 7 area to then move to the Drama Room for attendance and organisation into classes, or can report to the front office to be taken to the appropriate area.
This is a wonderful opportunity for students to experience some lessons at the secondary campus and meet some of the Grade 7 teachers.
