Master Builders Tasmania – Job ready
Yesterday, Thursday 27th May, Penguin District School students had the opportunity to travel to Devonport to participate in an inaugural program facilitated by Vos Constriction and joinery, MeadCon Building and Construction, Master Builders Tasmania and Keystone Tasmania. The program enabled those who attended to participate in interactive activities and learn first hand from representatives in the construction industry what they are looking for in job applications and apprentices. The program was an invaluable tool to those looking to the construction industry as a pathway – with lots of great tips on getting your best application ready and being your best at interview.
Lachlan D was part of a four member team that broke a statewide record by around a second - that was previously set in Launceston. In 14.88 seconds, the team was able to disassemble and reassemble their challenge. Well done to Lachlan and the team.
Thanks, from our school, to the organisers of this great event.
