Secondary Student Board Report
The secondary campus Student Board held Sports Day in week 8 of Term 3. Students were encouraged to wear either the uniform or colours of their favourite sporting team. The idea for this was taken from Footy Colours Day which was adapted to incorporate all sports. Lunch time sporting activities were run for football, basketball, netball and soccer along with a sausage sizzle, drinks and snacks sold at lunch time. Money collected on this day will be handed over to the 2020 Student Board to use towards either their participation in Relay for Life or a donation to the Tasmanian Cancer Council. The secondary campus raised almost $500 on the day.
The primary campus held Footy Colours Day and added their collected money to the secondary campus amount for a total of $874.40 for the Cancer Council which is a fantastic achievement by both groups.
The secondary campus are currently working on their Term 4 fundraiser and activities which will be advertised soon.
A huge thank you to all students and staff who have supported events so far this year; it is much appreciated and all money has been donated to worthwhile Tasmanian/Australian charities and foundations who support and work with our Penguin students.
