First Nations Primary Students sharing their clap sticks

In Term 2 we made clap sticks with Chalky our Aboriginal Education Officer.

We made them from tea tree branches. Firstly, we had to peel the bark off the tea tree, and then we sanded them so they would be smooth. Then we oiled them which highlighted the characteristics and colour of the tea tree.  Our clap sticks make their own unique sounds. Here are our clap sticks.
