STATE JUNIOR CRITERIUM CYCLING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2023

Recently Mitchell Stretton (year 8) and Rory Stretton (year 4) represented Penguin District School in the Tasmanian State Criterium Championships in Launceston. Both riders did exceptionally well with Rory winning the Under 11 girls title and Mitch placing 3rd in the Under 15 boys event. They were presented with their medals by the recently retired professional cyclist Richie Porte which was a thrill for all the juniors who attended the event. Congratulations Rory and Mitch! 

NATIONAL JUNIOR ROAD CYCLING CHAMPIONSHIPS - Shepparton, Victoria September 22-25

Congratulations to Mitchell Stretton who was selected in the Tasmanian State Junior team to compete in Shepparton, Victoria next week in the National Road Championships. Mitch will join Nic Broxam from Burnie and Monty Manion from Devonport as the only North-West Coasters in the team. He will compete in the Time Trial, Road Race and Criterium events against juniors from all over the country to try and take home a National Title.
