Educational pathways offer a vast range of opportunities. School based apprenticeships and traineeships are options that are available to students in Year 10 – 12.
These apprenticeships and Traineeships give students a head start and increased confidence in a career of their choice – while allowing them the benefits of continued schooling.

Students getting to work one or two days a week while studying Year 11 and 12;
Earning a salary (the national training wage); gaining essential work experience; completion of a accredited certificates and modules; and being able to explore or establish career opportunities within in the organisations that employ them.
Recently, two Penguin District School students were successful in this area.
Jalen - Year 11 - was successful in getting a School Based Apprenticeship with B and J Joiners, beginning his Certificate III in Cabinet Making and
Lukas - Year 10 - was successful in gaining the position of school-based traineeship in Banking and Customer Service with the ANZ bank.
