Year 6B
This term’s focus value is ‘Courage’ and in 6B we have been looking closely at what courage actually means. Courage is accepting challenges and embracing opportunities. We can be courageous by:-
- growing our friendship group
- giving new things a try
- not giving up when things are hard
- being brave
- accepting that everyone is different and unique
- reaching out or seeking help
- trying new opportunities and believing in ourselves even if you want to give up.
Our class read a book called ‘Girl on Wire’. In this book there is a girl who shows a lot of courage and faces her fear. We were challenged to write a Haiku poem. This is a 3 lined poem. It has 5 syllables in the first line, 7 syllables in the second line and 5 syllables in the third line.
