Students from the Year 5 classrooms combined to work on a design challenge. They were asked to research, design, and make a paddle pop stick catapult to fire a ping pong ball the greatest distance. It was fantastic to see our students engage with problem solving, develop practical solutions to design problems and successfully complete the challenge. The winning group managed to fire the ping pong ball an incredible 6.60 metres.
