Primary Student Board Year 5/6 Presentations
This morning I had the pleasure of listening to the prospective Year 5/6 Student Board presentations.
More than 35 students proudly and passionately pitched to their classmates and teaching staff as to why they would like to be a Student Board member. The students described what they would contribute to the board and how they demonstrate being safe, being respectful and doing their personal best.
Their classmates had the difficult task of assessing their speeches against a set of criteria which rated their voice, content and presentation. I imagine the final results will be very close judging by the quality of the presentations.
We are very fortunate to have so many students who would like to make Penguin District School a better place - as evidenced by their thoughtful suggestions of school based activities, fundraisers, clubs and personal attributes in supporting others and in leading by example.
Congratulations to all of the students who were prepared to take a risk and give a speech. It is with great anticipation that I await the final results and I look forward to working with 8 of these outstanding students and 4 students from Year 3/4 in 2021.
