Staff activities that involve the sharing of food can take place provided appropriate physical distancing measures can be adhered to and strict hygiene practices are implemented in the preparation and serving of food. The decision to participate in these activities remains with schools, business units and individuals.

Current health advice limits the sharing of food from student to student. Food may only be brought to school for special events such as birthdays, if it’s wrapped in individual wrapping for example, if a student brings in a bag of individually wrapped chocolates or snacks (ie. freddo frogs or small lolly bags). Birthday cakes and food sharing will not be allowed.

Schools and CFC’s are able to continue to share food prepared on site subject to adhering to the strict hygiene requirements in place.
