Please note that whilst Communicating with Families Meetings are a regular ‘event’ on our school calendar, I encourage you to stay connected with your class teacher either reaching out through Seesaw, calling or by arranging a meeting at a mutually agreed time. Regular communication between families and teachers ensures that parents are aware of their child's progress, challenges, and achievements. This partnership allows for early intervention when issues arise.
It has been rewarding to hear the stories from staff, students and family members as to the significant growth that many have made to this point in the year. The meetings provided an opportunity to develop some shared goals, discuss next steps and suggest ways to support your child’s learning at home.
Please note our students will receive Mid Year reports in Week 10 of this term.
Whilst many families have completed the survey, if you have not could you please assist us by doing so by following the link below. On average the survey will take you less than a couple of minutes and will provide us with valuable feedback to support us to continue to improve. I look forward to sharing the feedback with staff and our School Association Committee next week.

Well done to all students – Ruby R, Eva R, Pippa K, Harper S, Reede S, Leven D, Willow M, Maggie F, Miller H, Heidi K, Jaxx M – who demonstrated their personal best effort and represented PDS is a really positive way.
Wet Weather Breakfast Club Update
Attention all students! On wet weather days, the Breakfast Club will continue to be held on Tuesday mornings. However, the collection point will change from the outdoor Montgomery window to the outdoor Montgomery door, located outside the kitchen. You will collect your breakfast through the kitchen area and exit through the administration area in an orderly fashion.
Please remember to behave respectfully while indoors and take a moment to thank our hardworking Breakfast Club team, who are busy behind the scenes preparing your hot cheese toasties!
Welcoming a new book to our LiFT Library – Wings of Change by (our very own Year 1 teacher) Maddi Penton
Wings of Change
Join Ember, a curious caterpillar, on a journey of growth and transformation. Through the guidance of Jack the Butterfly, Ember learns that change is not something to fear but a beautiful journey of self-discovery. With vibrant illustrations and heartfelt storytelling, this picture book inspires young readers to embrace the ever-changing world around them.
Congratulations Maddi, I’m sure lots of families will take the chance to borrow this book and children will see that they can become an author just like Miss Penton.
Dream big!
We are excited about presenting our production ‘Beauty and the Beast – A Bloomin’ Good Tale’ at the Ulverstone theatre in Term 4 2024.
Our next order for production t-shirts and hoodies for staff and students will be placed when we have recieved at least 30 orders. The shirts will be black and hoodies will be black or blue with the production logo on the front and the option of first name, surname or character name on the back. The cost of the t-shirt is $27. The cost of the hoodies is $60 or $65 with name.
T-shirts and hoodies can be worn to rehearsals, casual clothes days and outside of school.
Band members, backstage crew and ushers are encouraged, where possible, to wear the production t-shirt as part of their outfit for shows (plain black clothing is required if this t-shirt is not purchased).
Orders can be made via the Qkr.
