Burnie High School - Once Upon A Time Excursion

Burnie High School has been staging a major musical production every two years since 1995.  This year they are staging the Tasmanian premiere of the highly entertaining and visually spectacular musical, Once Upon a Time, at the Burnie Arts and Function Centre in September.

Once Upon a Time features characters from the well-known fairy stories Cinderella, Snow White, Rapunzel, Hansel and Gretel and Rumpelstiltskin. These stories have been very creatively and humorously woven together into a musical production that is sure to delight audiences of all ages.

Featuring a cast and crew of over 160 students and a 20 piece band, this musical features a highly entertaining storyline and numerous corny jokes. One of the most appealing features of this production is the musical score that includes a number of very well-known songs from the 1960s through to the 2000s.  The show features the music of artists such as ABBA, Katy Perry, The Proclaimers and John Paul Young to name but a few.

The production will run for 2 hours, with a short interval between Act 1 and Act 2.  Penguin District have booked seats for the show:

What to wear: Students are required to be in full school uniform to attend

As part of the enrolment process you have given consent for your child to participate in excursions.  If you wish to change your child’s current permissions or would like further information, please contact the school by phone or email. If we do not hear from you then the current permission arrangements will remain in place. Please advise the office of any changes to medical details.

Please pay $10 (cash only) to the school office by Friday August 22.
