Hagley Farm School Excursion
As part of our history learning for term 3 and 4, Year 3/4 E will be going on an excursion to Hagley Farm School. At Hagley, the students will make butter, participate in a historic classroom reenactment (dressed up in period clothing) and visit the onsite museum where they will use and examine historical household items and farm equipment. If time and weather permits, they may also go on a tractor ride around the farm to look at the animals.
When: Wednesday 22 October
Times: We will leave school at 9:00 am and return to school at 2:30 pm. (As it is a long drive to Hagley, please ensure your child is at school by 8:30 am, so that we can leave on time).
What to bring: Students will need to wear their full school uniform, a packed lunch, (there will be no canteen orders), and a full drink bottle.
A warm jacket or jumper would be ideal as we will be participating in outdoor activities throughout the day.
Permissions: Due to the Department for Education’s excursion expectations, a Major Excursion and Medical Consent Form is required. Please return the form to the class teacher by Friday 26 September.
This excursion should be a valuable and exciting experience for our students. If you have any queries, please contact us on 6434 2222.
